I composed this track after the Saint Soline riot in France, pitting police and agribusiness against small farmers, local communities and environmentalists. This led to a series of events, involving thousands of protesters, who tried to stop the construction of a huge private water reservoir. This ended in very brutal clashes between the two sides, with the police raining down large numbers of grenades on the protesters, injuring hundreds and blocking medical aid in this fairly isolated area.
Several of my friends were there and described the violence and scenes of war they saw.
